Jesus specifically has guided me to tell people who
he is and that he is coming soon. Recently I’ve focused more on the who Jesus
is part, including who we are in him. So it’s time to get back to his imminent
return!
Yes, Jesus is coming soon. So many prophesies of
events to happen before his return have now been fulfilled. There is nothing
that has to happen before he returns in the clouds to call his believers to join
him. Nothing. That occurs before the events of the seven year tribulation and
the final battle of Armageddon, after which Jesus takes up residence in
Jerusalem and rules from there.
Here is a key point for all: When Jesus comes in the
clouds and calls out his believers, all this will happen in an instant. The
Bible talks about how two will be together, and suddenly only one will be there.
As the British evangelist David Hathaway says, there is "no final warning
for a last minute repentance."
We are moving rapidly through these last days. We
are living in the last generation Jesus referred to in three chapters dealing
specifically with his return (Luke 21, Matthew 24, Mark 13). When he actually
comes is not known, but that he is coming is absolutely certain, and soon. A
generation can only be so long, and from the events prophesied, this last
generation began in 1948 when Israel returned as a nation, perhaps earlier.
In recent days more people have brought up to me the
extreme busyness of their lives, how they have no time, how the seasons seem to
end just after they begin. All that is prophesied in Amos, where the point is
made that the plowman will overtake the reaper. Time compression - its more than
just a feeling. Things really are happening faster.
If you are alert you see the move to a one-world
government system and also a one religion system. Look at world finances and the
actions of the leading governments. Why else is the southern border of the US so
open to illegal immigrants in disregard of American immigration law, a known
fact that both national political parties have so long ignored? Consider that
former British Prime Minister Gordon Brown spoke out for one world government.
And Tony Blair pushes his faith foundation to bring religions together.
What should you as a believer be doing? For one
thing, do whatever you can to be sure that you and all you can influence really
are in the kingdom of God.
Some time ago when I was receiving guidance from the
Lord, Jesus said, "tell them how hard it is to get into heaven." That
is something not well understood. Yes, it is true that Jesus took care of
everything separating people from God. But each individual must truly accept
Jesus as Lord. He or she must truly believe. Belief is not a charade.
In Matthew 7:14, Jesus makes the point that
"narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find
it." I checked out the original Greek word of the New Testament translated
"few" in that verse. It means "few." That’s what it means.
Few is few. It is certainly less than half. Way less.
Obviously with Jesus faith is all about the heart.
He knows your heart. In Matthew 7:21 he says that "Not every one that saith
unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth
the will of my Father which is in heaven." In Luke 13:23, the disciples ask
him, "Lord, are there few that be saved?" Jesus answers in the next
verse, " …many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be
able."
In that famous night discussion with Nicodemus, the
teacher of the Jews, Jesus went to the heart of the matter. "Except a man
be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God," he said in John 3:3. Then
in John 3:5, "Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot
enter into the kingdom of God." We do know as said elsewhere that God is
spirit and must be worshiped in spirit and in truth.
In Matthew 18 Jesus makes the point that unless
people become like little children, they shall not enter the kingdom of heaven.
What does that mean? People must have the same total faith in Jesus that little
children have in whatever their parents tell them. Faith. Trust. In Matthew 19
the disciples in some sort of exasperation finally ask Jesus who then can be
saved. Jesus responds that with God all things are possible.
It all comes down to this – "…no man cometh
unto the Father, but by me" (Jesus). – John 14:6
Beyond this, everyone needs to be focused on Jesus.
Pay attention to him and his words, to his guidance, to the leading of the Holy
Spirit. Believers should know what they are called to do by God and be active in
that! Each believer really does have a gift, a calling ("…every man hath
his proper gift from God, one after this manner, and another after that." -
1 Co 7:7). If you don’t know yours, ask God to show you. Seek him.
In your dealing with others, don’t get drawn into
meaningless controversies. Speak what you are led to speak as regards Jesus and
faith, and let the Holy Spirit handle the rest. Be prepared to be attacked by
the evil side in some way as you step out in these last days. As 2 Timothy 3:12
says, everyone who wants to live a Godly life in Christ Jesus will be
persecuted. These are serious times. And all in this newsletter is true.
A PERSONAL REQUEST FROM US TO YOU
At this time of year many people seem to forget to
contribute to ministries. Please realize that all our expenses continue daily.
For those of you who are not monthly contributors or who do not contribute at
all, please prayerfully consider what you might do to help. When you contribute
to ministries such as ours, or to churches that preach the truth, the full power
gospel, you are contributing to Jesus and the kingdom. There are promises of
blessings that come to those who do that. With more funds we can take the great
truths God has shown us to more people, more places, more television stations.
Do you know that huge numbers of people have never heard most of what we preach,
including many who say they are Christians? In our services many see God
minister in front of their faces for the very first time. God is real, Jesus is
real, the Holy Spirit is real, the Bible is true – and Jesus is coming soon,
so soon you will be shocked.
May you live in the blessings of God.
